Hi there! I’m Vanja Spirin, and I write fantasy, all kinds of it.

My work leans toward the humorous side of the genre. Think absurd situations, unlikely heroes, and worlds where the laws of physics are more of a suggestion than a rule. If you enjoy a good laugh alongside your dragons and starships, you’ve come to the right place.

But I also have a darker side. Under the pseudonym Jura Mikulchev, I explore harder, colder territory, cyberpunk, biopunk, hard science fiction, and my own subgenre of cyber-slavic SF/F. It’s Slavic grit meets technological dread, where the soul of Eastern Europe collides with futures that weren’t built for the faint-hearted. Less laughing, more existential dread. You’re welcome.
